Come explore sophomore Evan Ngo's passion for swimming!

Sophomore Evan Ngo first started his swimming journey at the age of five or six when he first started taking swimming lessons.

Something Ngo likes about swimming is the competitiveness that swimming includes such as competing with your friends.

Ngo also likes how swimming could help him achieve a healthy and better physique but also setting and achieving new goals.

"I like that you can swim to compete against your friends, to exercise for a better physique, and setting and achieving goals" Ngo said.

Ngo said that he does find himself having the same hobby ten years from now, but not as competitive as he is now.

Ngo recommends to people who want to start swimming that it isn't easy as first. It's also very different from the typical sports you see online and in person, such as basketball and football.

Ngo shares that swimming requires the strength of your whole body to swim.

"The people who want to start swimming like me should know that it’s not easy. it’s not like football, or basketball. swimming is a sport where it includes your whole body to function as a whole to swim," Ngo said. "People usually give up when starting to swim but if you really really want to take it to the next level, never back down and never give up."
